Join the Musqueam Indian Band as an Interim Communications Specialist, driving effective communication strategies and community engagement. This full time position focuses on promoting MIB initiatives.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will implement the communications plan, ensuring meaningful engagement with MIB members and the larger community. Responsibilities include developing communication tools, designing media content, and maintaining web presence, contributing to the cultural narrative of the Musqueam community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement engagement strategies aligned with MIB’s objectives
• Create communication resources for diverse audiences
• Establish channels for community feedback and dialogue




• Develop content for newsletters addressing MIB members
• Conduct research on communication strategies' effectiveness

Requirements:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma with 4+ years’ experience
• Proficient in digital marketing and website management
• Experience with Indigenous community communications
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid BC Driver’s License and Criminal Records Check
