Join Scw’exmx Child and Family Services Society as a Family Services Team Leader, providing dynamic support to frontline staff. This critical leadership role fosters a culturally responsive approach to child safety.
Reporting to the Child Safety Manager, you will lead a dedicated Family Services team. Focused on strengthening prevention practices, you will prioritize effective service delivery while ensuring cultural competency and emotional support for both staff and families. Your leadership will actively contribute to a smooth operational transition between service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver day-to-day leadership to Family Services team
• Ensure adherence to child safety legislation and policies
• Provide daily case consultation and problem-solving support
• Collaborate with teams for coordinated service planning
• Promote SCFSS policies and standards in practice
Requirements:
• Strong knowledge in child protection and family services
• Ability to manage high-risk, complex situations
• Experience working with Indigenous families and communities
• Minimum three years in a supervisory or mentoring role
• Explicit Criminal Record Check and valid BC Driver's License
