Valard Construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to enhance our Substations group. Ideal candidates will have robust knowledge of utility construction, proven skills in cost estimation, and experience with projects ranging from $1M to $50M. You will be responsible for compiling comprehensive cost estimates, reviewing contracts, and supporting competitive tenders while ensuring project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed estimates through project site visits
• Assemble and finalize estimates with Engineering support




• Validate outsourced estimates collaboratively with engineering
• Incorporate historical data into cost models
• Prepare accurate bid submission documents

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Electric Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of utility construction experience
• Proficiency in InEight Estimating Software
• Strong understanding of construction costs and budgets
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
