Become an Occupational Therapist with IWK Health in Halifax, specializing in pediatric rehabilitation for children. This temporary full-time position emphasizes Family-Centered Care and team-oriented practices.
In this role, you'll work under the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, assessing and designing care plans for young patients. You'll coordinate with families, primary OTs, and various healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Participation in team and discipline meetings is key, requiring you to provide insights on pediatric rehabilitation initiatives across the center.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and monitor children's rehabilitation needs
• Create and oversee individualized therapy plans
• Engage and collaborate with clients and healthcare teams
• Document care plans and therapy assessments
• Participate in relevant committees and activities
Requirements:
• Graduate from a WFOT-accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Membership in NSOTR and eligibility for CAOT
• Minimum two years’ experience with pediatric populations
• Completed Basic Life Support training within last year
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
