Drive innovation in hydropower engineering at AECOM as a Senior Heavy Mechanical Engineer. Focus on the design and integration of mechanical systems in a hybrid mode to support significant projects.
In this role, you will apply at least 6 years of design experience in heavy mechanical systems for hydropower facilities. You will collaborate with diverse teams and serve as the senior technical lead, ensuring that all engineering aspects meet client and regulatory requirements. Your contributions will directly impact the effectiveness of both current and rehabilitation projects across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:



- Lead design of mechanical systems for hydropower and dams - Conduct engineering analyses and oversee equipment selection - Ensure accurate preparation of technical documentation - Facilitate coordination with various engineering disciplines - Engage in site assessments and technical consultations
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering - 6+ years experience in hydropower mechanical design - Registered Skilled Engineer in Quebec or eligible - Proven ability to work independently on complex projects - Fluency in French, with English preferred for collaboration
