Join Kingston General Hospital as a Dietetic Technician and play a critical role in patient nutritional care. This position focuses on providing tailored nutrition solutions and support.
You will independently manage nutrition care for low-risk patients and assist registered dietitians with those at higher risk. Responsibilities include conducting screenings, facilitating diet education, and adjusting dietary plans based on patient needs. Your focus on patient-centered care will enhance nutrition outcomes across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Screen and assess nutritional risk levels in patients
• Work under RD guidance for complex patient scenarios
• Maintain accurate documentation of nutrition care plans
• Utilize CBORD software for diet management
• Communicate dietary changes effectively with healthcare teams
Requirements:
• Relevant university degree or dietetic technician qualification
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and nutrition software
• Robust problem-solving skills and flexibility
• Comprehensive understanding of therapeutic diets and modifications
