As a Policy Analyst, you will evaluate existing legislation and programs, perform stakeholder engagement, and collaborate closely with First Nations and Tribal Councils. Your analytical skills will be essential for interpreting complex data and ensuring effective policy recommendations that reflect the needs of First Nation communities. The role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to systemic reforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research issues and gather data for trend analysis
• Assess the impact and effectiveness of policies
• Monitor legislative changes and political dynamics
• Engage with community stakeholders to build relationships
• Facilitate meetings and collect departmental data
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent education/experience
• 3-5 years in policy development or research
• Experience working with First Nations communities
• Solid written communication and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and challenges
