JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the F&B; Outlet Manager(s), this position is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at a multi-venue location. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests. Delivers performance reviews for direct reports. Actively participates in and shares responsibility for the recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environmen t while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Position Summary
Under the general direction of the F&B; Outlet Manager(s), this position is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the front of house Food & Beverage operations at a multi-venue location. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members and guests. Delivers performance reviews for direct reports. Actively participates in and shares responsibility for the recruitment and hiring process. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environmen t while establishing a secure and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

Oversees the front of house F&B; operations on a shift basis of a multi-venue location; assists with the development of performance objectives and delivers performance reviews for direct reports as necessary

Schedules and supervises employees; verifies time and attendance; assigns shift work assignments; ensures appropriate coverage while minimizing operating costs





Completes shift reports for management and for the next shift; tracks quality and guest issues and reports to management

Assists with the screening and selection of new hires; organizes and tracks training progress

Assess guest alcohol consumption to determine removal or restriction decisions and delivers message to guest

Orders front of house supplies as required; may participate in monthly inventory count

Supports front line F&B; services as required

Offers F&B; expertise to internal and external customers

Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments and employees

Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious in your demeanor

Chooses to make everyday a great day

Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day

Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators

Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!

Minimum Grade 12 education is required

Post-Secondary education in hospitality, or a suitable combination of education and experience, is required

2 years’ Food & Beverage experience is required

2 years’ experience in a lead role, or 1 year experience in a supervisory role, is required

Demonstrated ability to exceed customer expectations, both internal and external, through timely, effective, and service oriented communication

Satisfactory attendance (and be on no level of the attendance policy) is required

Proficient with computers and experience using MS Office and POS experience, is required

Work Environment Considerations

Regular office, restaurant or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
