Be part of the Township of Oro-Medonte’s Weekend Road Patrol as a contract worker. This position involves ensuring protected municipal road conditions during winter weekends with up to 24 hours of shifts each week.
The Township seeks two part-time candidates for a six-month role, starting in November 2026. Your primary duty will be monitoring road conditions and reporting any hazards like potholes and flooding, all while following maintenance standards. You will also handle staff call-ins and emergency tree removals when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report winter road conditions
• Document hazards per maintenance standards
• Initiate necessary staff call-ins for safety
• Perform roadside tree removal during emergencies
• Set up barricades for road closures or detours
Requirements:
• Minimum 18 years old
• ‘G’ Class driver’s license needed (DZ preferred)
• Team-oriented and self-motivated
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
• Availability for weekend shifts in day or afternoon
