PRIMARY FOCUS The P&C; Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full Team Member lifecycle and advancing organizational culture, engagement, and workforce effectiveness. Working closely with leaders across the organization, this position provides expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, wellness, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, health and safety, and HR compliance. The P&C; Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while helping to create a culture of resident-first service, continuous learning, inclusion, and organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Partner with leaders to support recruitment, onboarding, retention, engagement, wellness, recognition, and workforce planning initiatives.
Provide HR guidance and support in both unionized and non-unionized environments, including interpretation and application of collective agreements and employment policies.
Champion diversity, equity, inclusion,
and belonging through the development and implementation of equitable people practices and programs.
Support team member and labour relations activities, including collective bargaining preparation, policy interpretation, and issue resolution.
Support workplace health, safety, return to work, wellness, accreditation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Collaborate with leaders to address workforce challenges, support organizational priorities, and enhance service delivery outcomes.
Analyze workforce metrics and trends, conduct research on HR best practices, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of HR policies, programs, and processes that strengthen organizational effectiveness and enhance the Team Member experience.
Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders, Team Members, residents, families, unions, educational institutions, and community partners to support organizational success.
Promote consistency, professionalism, and a high standard of service while serving as a trusted resource for internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring Demonstrated knowledge of human resources practices, including talent acquisition, employee and labour relations, performance management, engagement, learning and development,
health and safety, and employment legislation.
Experience working in unionized and non-unionized environments, including interpreting collective agreements and employment policies.
Strong relationship-building and consulting skills with the ability to influence, coach, and support leaders at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional designation (CPHR) would be an asset.
Licensed and in good standing with a professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in People & Culture.
Experience in a multi-stakeholder environment with multiple locations
Experience providing people services to a non-union and union workplace
Experience in non-union and union workplaces.
Experience working with Federal and Provincial Governments.
Experience working with First Nation and Metis communities.
Experience in a hybrid organization (for-profit and not-for-profit) would be an asset.
Experience in the healthcare and housing sectors would be considered assets.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Is committed to a resident-first culture.
