Make a difference in your community as a full time Community Rehabilitation Counsellor with Providence Care. This role focuses on enhancing the skills of clients with brain injuries through personalized support and intervention.
As a Community Rehabilitation Counsellor, you will collaborate with a dedicated team in the Community Brain Injury Services program. Required skills include assessment, strategy development, and support for personal and community living skills. Your efforts will help clients improve their quality of life, gain independence, and engage in productive activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client skills
• Develop and evaluate plans for skill enhancement
• Support vocational skills and employment readiness
• Document observations and interventions meticulously
• Involve family members in the rehabilitation process
Requirements:
• Minimum 3-year degree or diploma in Human Studies
• Experience with acquired brain injury patients preferred
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Willingness to obtain R.R.P. and NVCI certifications
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
