As a Radiology Technologist II, you will report to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging while carrying out critical radiological procedures. Your responsibilities will include ensuring equipment functionality and patient readiness, collaborating with radiologists and surgeons, and maintaining quality of imaging with minimal radiation exposure. Pediatric imaging experience is an asset, while excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform radiological procedures in the OR and X-ray department
• Coordinate with Radiologists and Surgeons during procedures
• Assess requisitions for appropriate imaging and equipment
• Ensure patients are informed and prepared for exams
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain sterile technique
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Radiological Technology program
• Current registration with NSCMIRTP required
• Basic Life Support certification within the last 12 months
• Experience in pediatric imaging is an asset
• Solid decision-making and communication skills are essential
