Drive positive change as a Term Mental Health Worker with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, aiding student mental well-being from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and beyond. This impactful role emphasizes psychoeducation and teamwork.
You will work closely with the Mental Health and Well-Being Lead to deliver psychoeducation tailored to students’ mental health needs. Engage with school staff and parents through professional learning opportunities and evaluations aimed at improving mental health outcomes. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure effective interventions are applied and monitored within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychoeducation sessions focused on stress management
• Engage parents and staff through career development
• Support Tier 1 and 2 mental health interventions
• Work with interdisciplinary teams on student mental health
• Collect and analyze relevant data for service improvement
Requirements:
• Member of a relevant professional college
• Pursuing a Master's degree in a related area
• Proven experience in youth engagement and facilitation
• Certifications in mental health training programs
• Proficient in Google applications
