Make a difference as a Wildfire Technologist in High Level, AB, working with the Alberta Ministry of Forestry and Parks. This full-time position focuses on wildfire operations and community safety through hands-on leadership and program delivery.

You will report to Wildfire Operations or Prevention Officers and ensure that wildfire prevention and suppression programs are delivered effectively. Your background in emergency management, combined with strong coaching and supervisory skills, will help build a resilient team committed to excellence and public safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coach and support staff in wildfire operations
• Promote collaborative relationships within the forestry community
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards




• Participate in Incident Command Teams and lead training
• Oversee assigned program funding and budget compliance

Requirements:
• Related degree plus four years of wildfire operations experience
• Class 5 Driver’s License is required
• Ability to meet fitness standards for rostered roles
• Eager to engage in continuous career development
• Knowledge of relevant wildfire legislation, SOPs, and practices
