Vertex is growing, and we're looking for Class 1 Operators with experience operating Semi Vac's, Super B's, Combo Vac's and Tanker's to join our Fort McMurray, Alberta team. We're seeking local candidates from the Fort McMurray area. Job Description We are currently looking for Full Time Class 1 Operators with Semi-Vac, Super B, Combo-Vac and Tanker experience to join our team! We are looking for Operators who are looking for full time work and 24/16 rotational schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities Ensure customer and client satisfaction by providing excellent customer service at all times
Comply with Company policies and procedures, health and safety procedures, Department of Transportation and hazardous materials/waste requirements and regulations
Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, dispatch and trip reports and time sheets
Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly and report any inefficiency to Supervisor
Safely observe all company operating guidelines and procedures
Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
Candidate Qualifications Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial abstract
Minimum 2 years of Combo Unit or Semi Vac running experience
Minimum 2 years of hauling fluids with Super B's and Tankers experience
Possess safety tickets including but not limited to H2S Alive, First Aid and CSO
Drug & Alcohol Testing returned Non-negative (Provided by Vertex)
ELD logbook experience
Demonstrate a commitment to environmental compliance and safe work practices
Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
Must be in good health and physical condition to perform duties assigned
Integrity and reliability, willing to accept out of town work when applicable/necessary
Knowledge and experience in Pulp & Paper, Thermal and Oil & Gas considered an asset
Assets to Have Possess CSTS 2020, Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry & Monitor safety tickets
