Evergreen Sheet Metal (2018) has been operating in the BC Lower Mainland HVAC and Sheet Metal Industry for over 15 years, and we are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Project Coordinator to join our team at one our projects in the Lower Mainland. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Reporting to the Project Manager & Construction Manager, the Project Coordinator will assist them by managing the logistical details of assigned projects by processing paperwork and maintaining files. We are looking for a team player with a passion for the construction industry!

The ideal candidate will be diligent in document control, have previous experience in Sheet Metal and be enthusiastic about further expanding their knowledge of the construction field. The candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced and dynamic environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Project Coordinator will:

Manage basic project correspondence, organize project files, and issue documents to the correct parties who need the information

Process project RFI’s and be able to create and follow up on Mechanical RFI’s

Process project site instructions and issue to trades, vendors, and the site team. The coordinator shall be able to interpret the instructions and assist with preparing any estimates/quotes for the Project Manager to review and submit

Conduct site visits and prepare a progress report for the Project Manager to review for billing purposes

Prepare documents for O&M; Manuals when required





Prepare LEED documentation if required

Update project and department logs

Maintain a favourable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment

Attend project meetings as required

Participate in a LEAN construction culture

Coordinate shipping, receiving and delivery schedules

Organize and schedule appointments

Take minutes at team meetings as required (i.e., commissioning)

Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, forms, etc., as directed

Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

Order office supplies and cleaning supplies

Send orders for the prefabrication materials to suppliers

Maintain primary relationships with suppliers

Provide general support to visitors

Schedule inspections as required

Act as a point of contact for internal and external clients

Submit, track and distribute RFI’s, shop drawings, site instructions, and drawings via Procore with site trades, design team and BIM team

Assist the Project Manager & Construction Manager with various activities, including progress photos, testing reports and QA/QC

Be responsible for preparing Operations and Maintenance manuals and other project close-out documentation

Perform other duties as required

Education and Experience

Previous experience in the construction industry is required

Experience with Sheet Metal is considered a strong asset

Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required

Prior use in Bluebeam is regarded as an asset

Prior use in Procore or similar software platforms is regarded as an asset

Prior use of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software is an asset

Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is regarded as a strong asset

Work Conditions

This is a full-time position

This is a site-based position

Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals

Able to lift 25 pounds

Overtime as required

Walking through uneven grounds on construction job sites

ESM employees work a standard 40-hour work week, but hours of work may vary based on business requirements from time to time.

Compensation:
$70,000 to $100,000/year + 100% Company-Paid Dental & Health Benefits + 5% RRSP + Life Insurance + LTD + Phone Allowance.
