Become a Parent Support Worker to assist families in Sucker River and Grandmother’s Bay. Leverage your interpersonal skills to enhance health outcomes for infants and young children while promoting healthy practices.

This role requires solid organizational skills and the ability to work independently within the Maternal Child Health Program. You will provide in-home support focusing on child development and parenting, acting as a liaison between families and health professionals. Flexibility and adaptability will enhance your efforts in delivering resources and teaching workshops tailored to the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-home support for families with children aged 0-6
• Teach health promotion topics in individual and group settings




• Collaborate with Community Health Nurse on program delivery
• Advocate for families and connect them to resources
• Develop awareness materials and administer nutritional programs

Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Certificate or equivalent experience
• First Aid, CPR, and Safe Food Handling certification
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Experience in First Nations communities is an asset
