Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Pensionable Salary Enhancement - Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period. (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027.)
Position Overview
Experience
Minimum four years related community experience working with people who have serious and enduring psychiatric illness’; combination of institution and community experience will be considered.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
BScMH, Bsc.PN, BN, RPN, RN.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Registered with the College of Nurses of Manitoba.
Registered with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba.
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge of:
Relevant legislated acts including but not limited to Personal Health Information Act, Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions).
Regional/site/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines relating to clinical care.
Working with individuals from diverse cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.
Working knowledge of treatment, rehabilitation and support in mental health.
Skills in assessing, planning, development and coordination of support services.
Working knowledge and experience in working with people experiencing addictions.
Subject to a criminal record check.
Physical Requirements
Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
This maternity/parental term may expire sooner than the date indicated, subject to written notice of a minimum two (2) weeks, or one (1) pay period, whichever is longer.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
