Enhance patient care at Weyburn Special Care Home as a Patient Care Supervisor. This full time temporary position offers a chance to lead clinical decision-making and staffing assessments.
The Patient Care Supervisor will provide 24-hour coverage in the acute care setting, ensuring safety and efficiency in patient access and movement. This role includes directing patient placement, assessing staffing needs, and acting as a management representative for clinical issues outside regular hours. Interaction with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and the case management team is essential for care coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe access to patient care 24/7
• Direct clinical and administrative decision-making after hours
• Assess staffing needs and reassign as necessary
• Coordinate movement and access to care for patients
• Contribute to protocol and outcome development
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or approved diploma
• Registered or eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in leadership roles preferred
