We're looking to expand our network of talented contractors and are seeking a Junior Web Developer to support website development projects on a project and retainer basis.

The Chance

As a Junior Web Developer, you'll work closely with our digital, design, and project management teams to build, maintain, and enhance websites for a diverse range of clients. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in WordPress development who enjoys turning designs into responsive, user-friendly websites.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, comfortable working independently, and committed to delivering high-quality digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor and other commonly used WordPress tools.

Convert approved designs and wireframes into responsive web pages.

Configure website content, layouts, navigation structures, and page templates.

Support website launches, updates, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Troubleshoot website issues and resolve bugs across desktop and mobile devices.

Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and user experience.

Collaborate with designers, strategists, content creators,



and project managers to deliver projects on schedule.

Follow established development standards, workflows, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

1-3 years of web development experience.

Experience building websites using WordPress and Elementor.

Familiarity with responsive web design principles and modern web standards.

Experience configuring WordPress plugins and themes.

Understanding of website hosting environments, domains, and DNS concepts.

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify practical solutions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with website accessibility standards (WCAG).

Experience working with Git version control.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.

Experience with WordPress page builders beyond Elementor.

Exposure to PHP and custom WordPress theme development.

Working Relationship

This is a contractor position with flexible hours based on project requirements. Contractors may be engaged on individual projects, website support retainers, or ongoing development initiatives.
