As part of the Nova Scotia Woodlands Division, you’ll operate trucks following J.D. Irving's best management practices. This role requires independent work in remote locations and the fulfillment of production metrics. You may also assist with equipment maintenance and other ancillary forestry tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Navigate and operate truck safely and efficiently
• Achieve production and utilization targets
• Complete occasional equipment maintenance tasks
• Participate in forest fire prevention and training
• Support maintenance of roads and boundary lines
Requirements:
• Education level: High school diploma minimum
• 2-5 years of truck driving experience essential
• Class 1 Driver’s License required
• Preferably experienced with logging trucks
• General mechanical skills considered an asset
