The Heavy Equipment Field Technician works with our Field Service Manager to respond to service calls at customer locations. At the job site they are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment, to help ensure optimal performance. This role involves working in the field, at client locations, to address equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties A field technician is responsible for completing quality repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of equipment in and around Calgary
Completing preventative maintenance services as set out by our checklists
Is able to identify possible failures before they lead to downtime
Complete equipment diagnostics and effectively communicate findings
Maintain a clean and professional work environment at all times
Additional tasks as related to the position from time to time
Qualifications and Skills Exceptional attitude and understanding of the demands of the construction equipment industry
Journeyman H.E.T. technician 3rd or 4th year apprentice
Equipment experienced valued but not required, We welcome on highway and automotive technicians looking for a change
Have a complete set of hand and air tools. Specialty diagnostic equipment and large tools will be supplied
Physically fit and able to meet the demands of heavy equipment field repairs
Dealership experience and training considered an asset
Proficient with equipment diagnostics, hydraulic and electrical, considered an asset
Able to read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to assist in diagnostics
Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience 5 Years construction equipment industry experience minimum
Mechanical: 3 years (required)
Compensation Extended health care
This position is based in and around Calgary, AB (T3S 0A1). You will be required to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
