Join The Salvation Army as a Residential Support Worker and facilitate shelter solutions for those in need. Use your expertise to guide individuals away from homelessness while providing compassionate care.

In this permanent full time role, you will focus on providing support via the Shelter Support Line. Your day-to-day tasks will include responding to shelter requests, collaborating with community resources, executing diversion tactics, and maintaining records. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Answer and manage the Shelter Support Line calls
• Execute diversion strategies to help prevent homelessness
• Record and process intake forms for new clients




• Coordinate with external service providers as necessary
• Ensure clients receive personal and practical support daily

Requirements:
• Completed high school and relevant specialized courses
• Experience in a social service setting, ideally three months or more
• Knowledge of PEI housing support services
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
• Criminal Police Investigation Check required
