Drive automated collection vehicles in the Solid Waste and Recycling Department of Burnaby. This skilled truck driving role involves loading, transporting, and unloading materials safely under varying conditions.

We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver with experience in operating large vehicles to join the Residential Collection unit. Your responsibilities include performing pre-trip inspections, maintaining records, and potentially supervising team members. You will need mechanical aptitude for minor servicing tasks and must adhere to safety precautions to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate single and tandem axle trucks safely
• Load, transport, and unload recycling materials
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections




• Clean and perform light servicing on vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of work completed

Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with relevant experience
• Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement
• Knowledge of municipal street layout and safety operations
• Ability to deal effectively with the public
• Sufficient strength for manual work tasks
