Responsibilities Erect metal stud framework and install door and window frames
Install interior/exterior heavy and light gauge framing for all applications, using hand and power tools
Attach metal lath and beads; attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring using nails, screws, clips or wire ties
Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring using nails, screws, clips or wire ties
Ensure safe loading, staging and cleaning of the site
Adhere to all health and safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toe boots, masks and other protective gear
Follow fall arrest practices and other construction safety procedures
Report near misses, potential safety threats or accidents immediately to foreman
Qualifications 3–5 years of experience with steel‑stud framing and drywall installation
Ability to work with a plan supported by facts and data
High degree of respect, professionalism, safety consciousness, and integrity
Strong attention to quality and detail
Willingness to learn and develop
Red Seal is preferred but not required




Education and Expertise Required Reading skills to understand instructions on various tasks related to the work being completed
Mathematical skills to add, subtract and multiply figures and measurements
Must be aware of safety practices, e.g., when using ladders, scaffolds, power tools, knives and materials
