Salary

$80-100k (salary depends on how awesome and experienced you are),biannual profit share, RRSP contributions, training allowance, professional dues,signing and staying bonus, 5 weeks vacation, gear allowance, health and wellnessaccount, relocation expense and access to company trucks.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project manage our current forest planning and operations business lines. We want toemphasize that we would really like you to be more of a PM and Mentor than a SeniorTechnician. We want you to deal with the timelines, logistics, and mentoring the crew inthe office to complete the deliverables. Field time will mostly be a mentoring role withboth new hires and mentoring Sr techs on difficult ground. Thus as it is with most PMjobs you will be required to develop project plans, safety, timelines, budgets andresource allocations (the regular stuff). As mentioned, a big focus of your time will becreating, growing and mentoring your team.

We also expect that you will assist with recent business development initiatives andexpansion of existing business lines. This position would suit someone with anentrepreneurial spirit and diverse background in forest planning and operations





You will oversee projects ranging from multiphase layout and engineering to wildfire planning and operational supervision.

Technical Credentials

Must be RPF with experience managing multiple medium to large forest
engineering contracts, or something similar (harvesting or roads supervision
program)

Successfully managed, mentored and grown small (~10 people) teams

At least 5-10 years practicing forestry in BC

Tactical timber planning and road construction, maintenance and harvesting
supervision experience

Experience developing and maintaining long-term business relationships with
indigenous governments

Experience with full tenure management for large or small area-based tenures

Project management certification (PMP) would be beneficial (but not a must
have)
