Catalyze HR excellence at the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) as the Human Resources Director in Ottawa. This hybrid role is key to driving human resource strategies and optimizing processes for the CBA’s workforce.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources will manage HR operations for around 70 employees, emphasizing labor relations in a union setting. You will lead, coach, and streamline HR functions while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Your leadership will help design effective performance management frameworks essential for organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives
• Manage and develop a small HR team delivering core services




• Implement performance management systems to ensure accountability
• Oversee compliance with relevant employment legislation

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent
• At least 10 years in progressive HR roles
• 3+ years leading HR teams in a unionized setting
• Proven capability in performance management design
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English mandatory
