This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for aDirector Product Merchandising & Contentbased inCanada.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping how a premium travel portfolio is presented, structured, and positioned across the customer journey. You will define product storytelling and content strategies across multiple lines of business while leading category management and merchandising planning. Working closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing, you will turn customer insights and commercial data into compelling, conversion-focused experiences. You will oversee a team of merchandising professionals, setting standards for quality, consistency, and performance. The role combines commercial thinking, editorial judgment, analytics, and digital customer experience expertise. You will also help introduce AI-supported workflows to improve productivity while maintaining high content standards. This is an opportunity to influence product growth and profitability within a fast-paced, international travel environment.

Accountabilities

Own the product storytelling and content strategy across different lines of business, establishing the structure, narrative, and positioning for itineraries, services, and destination content.

Lead category management by analyzing product performance, identifying portfolio gaps, and determining where investment and optimization are needed.

Develop and manage the seasonal and specialty merchandising calendar from planning through execution.

Ensure product information remains accurate, consistent, and aligned with what is actually being offered to customers.

Partner closely with Product teams on product planning and launches, Sales teams on building a compelling and sellable portfolio, and Marketing teams on channel and campaign alignment.

Use booking trends, performance data, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to guide merchandising and content decisions.





Analyze commercial outcomes and connect merchandising decisions to key indicators such as leads, conversion, close rates, and margins.

Champion a customer-centric digital journey spanning discoverability, storytelling, navigation, search, and conversion optimization.

Build and implement AI-supported workflows that improve merchandising and content efficiency without compromising quality or editorial standards.

Manage, coach, and develop the Merchandising team, fostering strong execution, accountability, collaboration, and qualified growth.

Establish clear content standards and provide robust editorial direction across the team's work.

Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners in a fast-moving, matrixed environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant education.

6–8 years of experience in digital merchandising, content strategy, product marketing, or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated success developing strategies that support growth and profitability.

3–5 years of experience managing, coaching, and developing teams.

Previous experience in luxury travel, hospitality, tourism, or another premium customer‑experience environment is strongly preferred.

Robust financial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate commercial data into actionable merchandising and product decisions.

Deep understanding of digital customer journeys, including discoverability, content storytelling, navigation, search, and conversion optimization.





Strong editorial judgment and the ability to establish a clear content point of view while maintaining high‑quality standards across a team.

Genuine curiosity about customer behavior and emerging trends, with the ability to combine quantitative insights with qualitative understanding.

Practical experience using AI tools within content, merchandising, or related workflows, with an understanding of how to apply them responsibly.

Familiarity with tools such as Asana and Cloudinary is an advantage.

Strong ownership mindset, initiative, and ability to move strategic priorities forward with limited direction.

Excellent cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence peers and senior leaders.

Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and decision‑making skills in a fast‑paced environment.

Expected compensation range of $110,000–$130,000 CAD , with actual compensation dependent on market conditions, location, qualifications, experience, skills, and education or training.
