Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work site setting At heights Dusty Hot Outdoors Work setting Relocation costs covered by employer Tasks Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms Work conditions and physical capabilities Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Manual dexterity Repetitive tasks Tight deadlines Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
