Drive automated collection vehicles for solid waste and recycling in Burnaby as a Truck Driver. This full-time role requires operating large trucks while ensuring the secure transport of materials.

In this skilled position, you'll work in the Residential Collection unit handling various driving tasks, including pre-trip inspections and minor servicing. Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and safe operation is necessary, along with mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance. You will operate single and tandem axle trucks while adhering to safety regulations throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate automated collection vehicles for waste and recycling
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck
• Load, secure, and transport materials safely




• Maintain records and reports of collection activities
• Supervise loading and unloading tasks as needed

Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 education or equivalent experience
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement
• Strong knowledge of municipal street layout
• Experience in loading and securing materials
• Ability to cooperate effectively with team members
