Enhance student engagement as a Response Support Worker in various schools under Learning Services. Your expertise will contribute directly to the support of students with mental health and behavioural challenges.
This role focuses on implementing support strategies for students in need, collaborating with the Mental Health and Behaviour Team. You will assist in the development of behaviour management strategies while fostering an inclusive atmosphere in classrooms. Your proactive approach will benefit students' social skills and emotional well-being throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor behaviour management plans
• Support teachers with intervention plans
• Participate in intake and planning meetings
• Model and reinforce positive behavioural skills
• Provide transportation for students as needed
Requirements:
• Education assistant certificate or equivalent qualification
• Experience as a Behaviour Interventionalist desired
• Knowledge of psychosocial issues of complex learners
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training preferred
• Valid Safety Oriented First Aid certificate
