This Intermediate Mechanical Designer role requires leading complex design projects, producing CAD models, and developing machine components for demanding industries such as aerospace and pharmaceuticals. You will mentor junior designers and ensure all outputs meet strict industry-specific regulations while collaborating with a broad engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the mechanical design for automation systems
• Generate design packages including BOMs and drawings
• Create machine guarding and end of arm tooling designs
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards
• Engage closely with cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements:
• 3–5+ years in mechanical design within OEM automation
• Expertise in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Solid understanding of GD&T; and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of safety components and regulations
• Experience with PDM/PLM systems and design reviews
