Design-driven, New Zealand womenswear label MARLE is admired for its considered aesthetic, natural fibres and understated, elevated approach to dressing. In early September 2026, MARLE will open The Salon, its first retail space, in Newmarket, a new and key expression of the brand, offering a personal, calm and refined customer experience.

We are seeking three Sales Associates to join the founding team at this flagship opening. This is a hands-on, floor-based role for someone who genuinely loves connecting with people, understands considered fashion and wants to help set the tone for a new kind of retail experience from day one.

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Store Manager, our Sales Associates will be the face of The Salon delivering a warm, intuitive and highly personal MARLE experience to every client who walks through the door.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
Sales and Client Experience

Deliver a warm, intuitive and highly personal MARLE service experience to every customer





Build genuine relationships with clients through thoughtful styling advice and follow-up

Contribute to store sales targets through personal selling, conversion and add-on sales

Product and Styling

Develop genuine expertise across each collection - fabrication, fit, care and styling

Confidently style clients across the full MARLE range, understanding how pieces work together

Maintain visual merchandising to MARLE's standard, keeping the floor considered and refined

Store Operations

Support day-to-day store operations, from opening and closing procedures to stock replenishment

Assist with receiving, transfers and inventory accuracy

Help bring launches and seasonal events to life on the floor

AS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE, YOU WILL HAVE

Experience in retail, ideally within premium or considered fashion

A genuine love of styling and a natural, easy way with people

A team-first attitude and pride in delivering a considered, elevated customer experience

Confidence with POS systems; Shopify experience is an advantage

A warm, polished and naturally engaging approach, with genuine appreciation for the MARLE product and customer
