The City of Richmond is seeking a Youth Outreach Worker for community-based initiatives. This full time role involves collaborating with youth involved in the youth criminal justice system, offering individualized support, mentorship, and access to vital resources. You will engage with youth, families, and community partners to promote rehabilitation and positive development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting relationships with youth facing justice system involvement
• Coordinate referrals from multiple agencies for youth support
• Conduct intake assessments to develop personalized service plans
• Provide ongoing mentorship and advocacy for youth
• Facilitate access to community programs and services
Requirements:
• Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in youth outreach or social services
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence
• Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage records
