Serving a 25-bed unit, this role requires delivering holistic psychiatric nursing care to a diverse clientele facing acute mental health issues. You will work within a supportive inter-professional team and refine your skills in trauma-informed care and mental health interventions. Comprehensive unit orientation will prepare you for successful practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor client health and treatment responses
• Document care and treatment plans effectively
• Develop and facilitate group activities for clients
• Provide mentorship and support to nursing students
• Participate in reflective practice and program development
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate essential
• CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred
• Experience working with mental health and addiction disorders
• Solid organizational and decision-making abilities
