Become an integral part of the MGEU as a Staff Representative I. This role involves mentoring activists, managing grievances, and facilitating educational opportunities to empower union members while advocating for their rights.

In this agile position, you'll administer collective agreements and provide critical support to MGEU members facing complaints and issues. Your advocacy efforts will include conducting investigations, mentoring fellow staff, and organizing meetings to communicate essential union policies. Additionally, you'll represent MGEU at various events and ensure the union’s values are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support MGEU members in resolving complaints and issues
• Investigate and prepare grievances for appeal




• Mentor members to boost labour relations understanding
• Organize and attend union meetings as required
• Facilitate educational programs for union members

Requirements:
• At least two years of Staff Representative experience
• Proficient in interpreting collective agreements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid organizational and planning capabilities
• Must have a valid driver’s licence and travel availability
