Job Summary The Quality Control Technician ensures raw materials and fabricated metal products meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards through visual and dimensional inspections.
Job Description Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials, in-process work, and finished metal products.
Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, tape measures, gauges, scales, squares, and other measuring tools.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Review Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and related documentation.
Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and products.
Maintain calibration records for inspection equipment.
Complete inspection reports and enter quality data into company systems.
Verify shipment documentation as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial environment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and perform dimensional inspections.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, tape measures, and squares.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Machining,



or Mechanical Technology training.
Previous experience inspecting fabricated metal products, machined components, or industrial materials.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, tolerances, and manufacturing quality processes.
Compensation: $21.75 to $23.00 per hour, based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
