Empower young individuals as the Coordinator for Youth Programs at our community center. This full-time role integrates advising with program development for ages 13-29, focusing on health and education.
Reporting to the Elders, Youth and Neighborhood House Manager, you will execute programs that promote personal, social, and emotional growth. You will coordinate activities, workshops, and meal preparations while fostering collaboration with local schools and organizations. The role requires maintaining a clean and inviting setting, responding to emergencies, and ensuring proper record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate community meals and food-related programs
• Develop youth workshops and training opportunities
• Maintain safety protocols during kitchen activities
• Create incident reports and monitor statistics
• Schedule and facilitate youth council meetings
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience with youth programs
• Food Safe certification preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and clear Criminal Record Check
Lead youth empowerment initiatives through diverse programs and community engagement.
