FortisAlberta is seeking a customer-focused Construction Planner to drive electric infrastructure projects from concept to construction. Collaborate with teams in Drayton Valley and ensure project readiness and efficiency throughout the process.

This full time role emphasizes your technical skills and experience in utility construction. You'll work with Project Planners, construction crews, and regional operations to navigate field conflicts and verify project details. Your background in electrical distribution systems will help ensure that projects are executed safely and in compliance with utility regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Finalize project designs and obtain necessary approvals
• Perform site assessments and staking activities




• Implement engineering templates for direct construction
• Coordinate with multiple teams for project efficiency
• Assess impacts on customer facilities and local utilities

Requirements:
• Relevant engineering technology diploma or Journeyman Power Line Technician certificate
• At least two years of construction experience
• Strong understanding of construction planning
• Exceptional relationship-building abilities
• Excellent organizational skills
