**Job Title: Production Worker – Stacking and Assembly (Day Shift)**
**Job Description**
This production role focuses on stacking and assembly work to support the manufacturing of power quality improvement products, including cores used in power distribution equipment.

You will work with metal components, blueprints, hand and power tools, and epoxy to assemble core units accurately and efficiently as part of a collaborative team on the plant floor.
**Responsibilities**
Perform stacking and assembly tasks for core units used in power distribution equipment.

Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to understand specifications and assembly requirements.

Cut metal pieces to the correct length using appropriate tools and equipment.

Use a table clamp and other fixtures to secure materials during assembly.

Assemble both small core and big core units, ensuring all components fit and align correctly.

Stack metal pieces together to form cores according to detailed instructions and quality standards.

Apply epoxy to secure cores to their base and ensure a strong, reliable bond.

Use temporary taping and other methods to hold units together during the curing and assembly process.

Operate hand tools, shears, hammers, and power tools safely to align and finish cores.

Inspect assembled cores to confirm proper alignment, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications.

Work closely with team members on the plant floor to coordinate tasks and maintain efficient workflow.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with tools, materials, and equipment.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.

Be willing to learn and apply basic electrical concepts related to the core product and its function.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, machine operating, or general production work.

At least 1 year of experience reading and working from blueprints or diagrams.

Mechanical capabilities with an understanding of how components fit and function in an assembly.

Electrical capabilities or a robust willingness to learn the electrical aspects of the role.

Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers and shears for metal work and alignment.

Experience operating power tools safely and effectively in a production environment.

Ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications with high attention to accuracy.

Comfort working in a team-based production setting and communicating clearly with coworkers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams with minimal supervision.

Robust manual dexterity and comfort working with metal materials and epoxy.

Willingness to learn new processes and techniques related to core assembly and electrical components.

Reliability in adhering to scheduled shifts and production timelines.





Comfort working in a smaller facility and collaborating closely with a compact team.

Basic understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing or plant environment.

All materials and tools are provided and organized to support quick and efficient assembly work.

You will work in teams to build core products used in power distribution units, in a well-lit facility that can be somewhat dusty.

The environment is team-oriented, hands-on, and suited to individuals who enjoy working closely with others in a smaller production setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Brampton,ON.
