General Description: The Vineyard Manager isresponsible for the overall management, development, and day-to-day operationsof Fox Harb’r’s vineyard. This position oversees vineyard health, cropproduction, seasonal maintenance, staff, equipment, and vineyard-relatedprojects while ensuring the property is maintained to a high standardconsistent with the resort’s luxury environment.

The Vineyard Manager will develop and implement vineyard management practices thatsupport the long-term health and productivity of the vines, including pruning,planting, fertilization, pest and disease management, irrigation, canopymanagement, harvesting, and general vineyard maintenance.

Theposition is responsible for planning seasonal work, supervising vineyard teammembers and contractors, maintaining equipment and supplies, monitoringvineyard conditions, managing budgets, and ensuring all work is completedsafely, efficiently, and to the standards expected at Fox Harb’r.

Thesuccessful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizationaland leadership skills, an understanding of horticulture or viticulture, and apassion for developing and maintaining a high-quality vineyard.



They will becomfortable working outdoors in all seasons and have the ability to balancehands-on vineyard work with planning, administration, and team leadership.

Qualifications

High School Diploma,GED or equivalent

Courses in Viticultureor hands on experience working in a Vineyard operation.

Nova Scotia pesticideapplicators license – Agriculture certificate

Capable of operatingrequired equipment and tools in a protected and responsible manner.

Ability to workindependently and efficiently, self motivated

Confidence in directinga team of 4 employees in all aspects of Vineyard work

Ability to performphysical tasks - walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.

Enjoy working outdoorsin all weather conditions

Responsibilities

Planting, cultivating,early spring pruning, tying, canopy management and harvesting crops.

Repairing andmaintaining trellis system for grape vines

Conduct inspections andmaintenance on vehicles, tools and equipment/ report problems

Organizing andsupervising employees daily

Keep records of workactivities, product applications, material usage as requested

Apply pesticides whenrequired for control of weeds, diseases and insects in Vineyard

Wear appropriatepersonal protective equipment at all times when required

Comply with all companypolicies and regulations.

Work in accordance withall local health and safety laws and regulations.

Perform other duties asdirected by manager.
