Job Title
RQ-2026-009533 - UX Designer - Intermediate for ONE Access Program
The UX Designer will support the ongoing design, enhancement, and upkeep of applications and web content, working closely with product, development, and business teams to deliver accessible, responsive, and standards‑aligned user experiences.
Must haves: Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe XD or similar wireframing/prototyping tools
Experience supporting content updates and ongoing upkeep of web applications
Strong understanding of responsive and accessible web design principles
Responsibilities: Design intuitive, user‑centered interfaces for web‑based applications
Create and refine UX artefacts including wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
Support content updates and page maintenance using WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle
Ensure designs adhere to accessibility, usability, and web standards




Conduct design iterations based on feedback, usability insights, and technical constraints
Participate in Agile or waterfall delivery processes as part of application teams
Desired Skills: Experience working in health, health‑IT, or regulated environments
Familiarity with design systems and reusable component libraries
Experience collaborating closely with development teams in Agile environments
Experience applying WCAG or accessibility best practices
Solid visual design sensibility combined with technical problem‑solving skills
Required Skills: UX design experience using Adobe XD or similar wireframing tools
Experience working with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
Experience maintaining and updating web application content and layouts
Understanding of responsive, accessible, and user‑centered design principles
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams
Strong communication skills to explain design decisions and technical constraints
Evaluation Criteria: Experience maintaining and updating web applications and content – Experience supporting content updates, UI enhancements, and upkeep of existing applications, including use of WordPress or similar CMS platforms 20 Points
Experience / Knowledge of agile project management practices 15 Points
Total Evaluation Criteria: 100 Points




UX design and front‑end implementation of interfaces for ONE Access Program web applications
Creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design assets using Adobe XD
Updates and maintenance of existing web application interfaces and content
erm: The term of this Engagement Assignment is for 230 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 254 days at the Agency’s discretion. The Engagement Assignment may be extended for unused Business Days at the Agency’s discretion.
The resource will comply with Agency policies and procedures.
Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario, and Agency assets including laptops and related equipment cannot be removed from the province of Ontario, without prior written approval from the Agency.
Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Hybrid". The resource under this request will be required to work onsite as per Hiring Manager sole discretion.
Knowledge Transfer Details: The resource will ensure full knowledge transfer is provided to the Agency team before end of engagement. Some of this might occur at the end of the engagement but will also be shared as information is obtained/consolidated. Key deliverables will be shared with team.
The resource must provide all related documentation as part of knowledge transfer protocol. Documents will be reviewed by the appropriate leads and signed off by manager/director.
The resource will work collaboratively with the Agency team throughout the assignment and ensure key deliverables, milestones, and documentation are shared.
A walkthrough of any demos, development, etc. will be required before the end of the engagement.
