Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker in Campbell River, BC. Focus on providing essential support and services to homeless adults in need of assistance.

In this pivotal role, you will work within a 24-hour emergency shelter, assisting adults who struggle with homelessness, addictions, and mental health challenges. You’ll conduct intakes, ensure safety, and refer guests to necessary community services. Compliance with health regulations is critical, requiring successful completion of training protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support adults facing barriers to housing
• Manage guest intakes and provide orientations
• Liaise with external community resources
• Keep accurate records and data on interactions
• Uphold and promote safety within the shelter

Requirements:
• Certificate or Grade 12 with relevant experience
• Knowledge of community resources essential
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certification needed
• Experience with crisis intervention preferred
• Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance
