Enhance community outreach as the Gifts of Hope Program Coordinator at The Salvation Army. Your focus will be on participant support and program coordination during the holiday season.
In this contract role, you will collaborate closely with the Casework Manager to execute registration events. You will be responsible for conducting participant assessments, managing data, and providing resources to individuals and families in need. Your contributions will uphold The Salvation Army's values in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate registration days for the Gifts of Hope program
• Perform initial intake assessments for applicants
• Check for service duplication with other agencies
• Input and maintain data in the case management system
• Support volunteers assisting in the registration process
Requirements:
• High school diploma required; diploma in human services preferred
• One year of relevant experience in community services
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and case management software
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license needed
• Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills
