Rockport Commercial is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator with experience for our in-house excavation team. Work on internal projects, including commercial buildings, primarily in Manitoba.

As a key team member, you will operate heavy machinery such as excavators and have the ability to step in and help with construction tasks on-site. The role includes the possibility of leading site operations when the Superintendent is absent. Moreover, you will enjoy a steady workload without winter layoffs, engaging in earthworks and snow clearing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate rock trucks and skid steers for excavation tasks
• Collaborate with a small crew and assist in various tasks
• Lead the crew and manage site operations when necessary




• Engage in winter earthworks and maintain operational readiness
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and daily equipment maintenance

Requirements:
• Experience in commercial or multi-family construction sites
• Proficient in interpreting civil blueprints
• Leadership aptitude for managing small teams
• Clean Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s Licence preferred
• Positive driving record essential
