Step into the role of Groundsperson 1 with our Facility Services department, focusing on grounds maintenance. This limited duration opportunity offers an hourly wage of $29.02, effective July 2024.

Your primary responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of various outdoor areas such as playfields and playgrounds. You'll operate necessary equipment, manage turf and irrigation upkeep, and assist in installing facilities. You will also play a key role in training new staff on equipment operation as required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate grounds vehicles and maintenance equipment
• Install playfield equipment and maintain play structures
• Shovel snow and collect litter diligently
• Perform routine turf and irrigation tasks
• Train coworkers on equipment operation

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education or equivalent needed
• Two years of relevant experience preferred
• B.C. Class 5 Driver's License mandatory
• Familiarity with safety procedures essential
• Ability to work independently and in a team
