Make a difference in children's lives with the Okanagan Indian Band as a Supported Child Development Worker. This one-year term role focuses on fostering inclusivity and providing high-quality childcare.

The Okanagan Indian Band is looking for a dedicated Supported Child Development Worker to collaborate with parents and the community. The position is vital for offering specialized support to children with unique needs while ensuring compliance with relevant childcare regulations. Key tasks involve planning engaging activities and maintaining a secure workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan detailed programs for children’s overall development
• Foster inclusivity in all dealings with children
• Document and manage records for special needs children




• Engage with children individually and as a group
• Collaborate with parents and professionals for care optimization

Requirements:
• At least 19 years old
• Early Childhood Education certification or equivalent experience preferred
• Valid First Aid Certification required
• Experience with children, especially under six
• Criminal record check including vulnerable sector clearance

Utilize your understanding of early childhood care to positively impact the Okanagan community as part of the OKIB team.
