As a Journeyperson Machinist, you will work in the Crankshaft Salvage department. This permanent position involves using machine tools for remanufacturing and salvaging worn parts. Expertise in operating manual lathes and CNC equipment is preferred but not mandatory, ensuring diverse candidates can apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate horizontal and vertical lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
• Perform salvage techniques on various machinery
• Maintain and clean equipment according to standards
• Follow Caterpillar contamination control initiatives
• Collaborate with the team ensuring safety and efficiency
Requirements:
• Journeyperson machinist ticket or Red Seal certification
• Multiple years’ experience in crank salvage or machine shop
• Proficiency in documentation and measuring skills
• Basic CNC programming understanding preferred
• Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds
