**About the Role**
You will report to the Manager, Continuous Improvement within the Global Operational Risk and Resilience Oversight (ORRO) team within Manulife's Risk Function.

As part of the Governance and Strategy team, you will help deliver creative reporting, analytics, and process improvement solutions that support Operational Risk excellence across Manulife.

This role is ideal for students interested in data analytics, AI solutioning, business intelligence, reporting, process automation, and emerging workplace technologies.

You will contribute to the development of Power BI dashboards, Power Apps solutions, CoPilot Studio Agents, reporting processes, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining exposure to enterprise governance and operational risk management practices.
**Position Responsibilities:**
Data Analysis and Reporting: Help collect and analyze operational risk data, contributing to the preparation of risk reports and dashboards for senior management.

Process Improvement: Contribute to the identification and implementation of process improvements related to risk management and governance frameworks.

Deliver on Data Insights: Communicate complex data findings clearly and effectively to senior leadership and business partners to support data-driven decisions.

Risk Data Management: Assist in the generation of leadership reports and ensuring accuracy in the data being reported, this includes performing data validation to ensure integrity and reliability of reporting outputs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with team members on projects to drive ORRO priorities and ensure we maintain rhythm, identify issues, escalate as required, and recommend solutions to keep priorities on track.
**Required Qualifications:**
Academic Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Economics, Business, Finance, or related fields
Adaptability and Growth Mindset: Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable with adjusting priorities.

Team Player:



Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and make recommendations based on findings.

Attention to Detail: Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative on assigned tasks.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Proven experience or interest in risk management, or strategy/governance roles preferred.

Experience working in multi-functional teams in previous co-op terms/internship.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power

Point, Word), and reporting tools (such as PowerBI) is a plus.

Experience using AI as an accelerator in your work or studies.
