Position Summary
We are is seeking a dependable Non-CDL Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate to complete customer deliveries and pickups throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
This is not a driving-only position. The employee will load and unload the assigned truck, verify route and shipping information, interact professionally with customers, and assist with shipping, receiving, quality, light heat-treating, and general warehouse duties when no route is scheduled.
The ideal candidate has experience operating a non-CDL box truck, understands the challenges of driving and delivering in New York City, maintains a protected driving record, and is comfortable performing physical warehouse work. The company is looking for a flexible team member who is willing to help wherever operational support is needed.
Key Responsibilities
Driving and Route Execution

- Safely operate an approximately 14-foot, six-wheel non-CDL box truck.
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
- Follow assigned routes, customer instructions, delivery schedules, and applicable traffic laws.
- Navigate urban areas, highways, bridges, industrial zones, and congested New York City routes.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers during pickups and deliveries.
- Notify the appropriate team member of delays, delivery issues, damaged materials, or route changes.
- Protect customer-owned products while materials are in transit.
- Complete required route, shipping, and delivery documentation accurately.

Loading and Unloading

- Review the daily route and identify the materials assigned to each customer.
- Load the assigned truck before departing for deliveries.
- Properly position and secure materials to reduce movement or damage during transportation.
- Unload deliveries at customer facilities and collect materials scheduled for pickup.




- Unload the vehicle upon returning to the Newark facility.
- Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment when authorized and trained.
- Follow safe material-handling procedures at all times.

Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse Support

- Assist in shipping and receiving when no delivery or pickup route is scheduled.
- Help organize incoming and outgoing customer materials.
- Support light heat-treating work when trained and assigned.
- Assist the quality department with basic operational tasks when needed.
- Maintain an orderly loading area, warehouse workspace, and company vehicle.
- Follow paper-based shipping, warehouse, and inventory procedures accurately.
- Complete other warehouse duties based on daily operational priorities.

Vehicle Safety and Compliance

- Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle damage, mechanical issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized company vehicle.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable transportation requirements.
- Maintain a driving record that meets the company's commercial vehicle-insurance standards.
- Participate in required background and driving-record reviews.

Required Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements

- Valid driver's license.
- Acceptable driving record and ability to qualify under the company's vehicle-insurance requirements.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to load and unload a box truck.
- Ability to lift, carry, push,



or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to perform warehouse, shipping, receiving, quality-support, and other operational duties when not driving.
- Ability to work beyond the standard eight-hour schedule when assigned routes require additional time.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow route instructions, safety procedures, and paper-based documentation processes.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and driving-record review.

Preferred Qualifications

- At least two years of commercial delivery, box truck, or similar professional driving experience.
- Previous experience driving and completing deliveries in New York City.
- Experience operating a 14-foot box truck or comparable vehicle.
- Familiarity with routes throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Warehouse or industrial environment experience.
- Forklift or pallet-jack experience.
- Existing forklift certification.
- Experience delivering to metal shops, manufacturing companies, warehouses, or industrial customers.

Physical and Work Setting Requirements

- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
- Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to load and unload customer-owned metal products and related materials.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver materials with appropriate equipment.
- Ability to work in a warehouse and industrial environment.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, warehouse traffic, and metal products.
- Ability to perform duties safely during varying weather and traffic conditions.
- Ability to use a pallet jack or forklift after completing the required training.

Materials weighing more than 50 pounds are expected to be moved using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other appropriate equipment.
